Beer History Museum (Beer Museum)

The Museum of Beer Brewing History in Cheboksary is located at Kuptsa Efremova Boulevard, 6a. It was opened in 1997 under the initiative of Chuvash Republic president N.V. Fedorov. Exhibition covers the history of Chuvash beer and local brewing traditions. Visitors can learn about authentic items and participate in tasting local beers for an additional fee. A distinctive feature of the Chuvash hall is keremet — pagan altar on a tree.
