Cheboksary Bay

Cheboksary Bay is the city's main public space and symbol. An artificial lake emerged during construction of Cheboksary Hydroelectric Power Station. Along its shores stretch promenades, parks, viewing platforms and venues for city events. Across the bay runs a transport-and-footbridge dam connecting different parts of the city. Here are monuments including Mother Monument and Singing Field. The bay connects to Cheboksary Reservoir and forms an important part of the city's water system.
