Lenin Monument on Soviet Square

Lenin Monument on Sovetskaya Square in Ulan-Ude - a large sculptural depiction of Vladimir Illych Lenin's head raised high on a tall pedestal. Opened in 1971 at the city center near main administrative buildings, this monument is one of the most recognizable symbols of Ulan-Ude's capital.
