Sалават Юлаев memorial is located on a high bank of the Belaya River in the center of Ufa, on his name square. It is a ten-meter iron sculpture with bronze coating, weighing over 40 tons, installed on a granite pedestal 4 meters high. The monument's opening took place in 1967 after almost thirty years of work by sculptor S. Tovasiev. The memorial is considered the largest horse statue in Russia and Europe and featured on the coat of arms of Bashkortostan. From the viewing platform at the foot of the sculpture, there is a picturesque view of the Belaya River.
