National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan

The National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan is located in the historical building of the Peasant Land Bank on Sovetskaya Street, 14 in Ufa. It is the largest cultural-historical museum of the Volga region with a rich exhibition including over 140,000 items, featuring unique artifacts of archaeology, history and ethnography of Bashkortostan. The exhibit of Burzyan bee, the symbol of the region, and a collection of more than 16,000 ancient coins attract special attention. Among the notable exhibits stands out a sabre associated with the legendary hero Salavat Yulaev.
