S.T. Aksakov Memorial House-Museum
Ufa, Zaynully Rasuleva St, 4
The Memorial House-Museum of S.T. Aksakov is situated in scenic areas of Ufa along the banks of the River White. This structure, representing late-18th-century wooden architecture, became a branch of the National Museum of Bashkortostan in 1978. The exhibit features a memorial segment honoring the life and writings of writer Aksakov and his kin, alongside a literary-musical salon recounting details about his son—the first Governor of Ufa. The museum boasts more than 3,000 artifacts, including a recreated interior from the latter half of the 18th century adorned with exquisite furniture embellished with ivory and bronze.
