S.T. Aksakov Memorial House-Museum

The Memorial House-Museum of S.T. Aksakov is located in a picturesque part of Ufa on the banks of the River Белая. This building, which is an example of wooden architecture from the late 18th century, became a branch of the National Museum of Bashkortostan in 1978. The exhibition includes a memorial section dedicated to the life and works of writer Aksakov and his family members, as well as a literary-musical lounge telling about his son - the first Governor of Ufa. The museum's collection numbers over 3,000 exhibits, including a reconstructed interior of the second half of the 18th century with unique furniture decorated with ivory and bronze.
