S.T. Aksakov Memorial House-Museum

The Memorial House-Museum of S.T. Aksakov is situated in the picturesque part of Ufa at Zaynully Rasuleva St., 4. It is an example of wooden architecture from the late 18th century where the memorial section dedicated to the life and works of writer Aksakov and his family members is housed. There is also a literary-musical gostinaia functioning within the museum which tells about the son of the writer - the first governor of Ufa. Founded in 1978, it is a branch of the National Museum of Bashkortostan. The collection of the fund comprises approximately 3 thousand exhibits.
