Lilya-Tulpan Mosque-Medressa

The Lyalya-Tulpan Mosque and Madrasa is located in Ufa on Komarova Street, 5. The building was opened in 1998 after construction from 1989 according to architect V.V. Davlyatshin's project. It is not just a place for prayer but also a cultural and educational center where classes on Islamic culture and religion are held. The architecture of the mosque is decorated with crystal chandeliers and stained glass, while the roof resembles an open tulip - a symbol of purity and freshness especially beloved by Turkic peoples. Nearby there is Victory Park. Construction was funded through voluntary donations from over two hundred city residents.
