Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is situated on Kirova Street, 102 in Ufa. An architectural monument from the late 19th century, it was built in the Russian style. The height of the temple is 21 meters while the central bell tower reaches 47 meters. The cathedral was closed since 1934 but returned to the church in 1991 after years of restoration. It is the largest capacity church in the city and serves as the cathedral of Ufa Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. Inside the temple there are side chapels dedicated to Archangel Mikhail and Saint Nikolay the Wonderworker.
