Bashkir State Art Museum imeni M.V. Nesterova

Bashkir State Art Museum named after M.V. Nesterov is located in an historical mansion at Gogol Street, 27 in Ufa. Founded in 1920, it is housed in a building constructed in 1913 by merchant-forestry industrialist M.A. Laptev. The museum features collections of contemporary art from Bashkortostan, Russian painting of the XIX to early XX centuries, Western European and Eastern art. A monument to artist M.V. Nesterov stands before the building. There are also branches: exhibition hall "Izhad" and A.E. Tyulkin's house-museum.
