The Bashkir State Museum of Fine Arts named after M.V. Nesterov is located in a historical mansion of Ufa built in 1913. Founded on January 5, 1920, it showcases a rich collection of Russian art from the 19th to early 20th century, Western European and Eastern paintings, as well as contemporary Bashkir visual arts and decorative-applied arts. The museum's distinctive features are its branches: exhibition hall "Izhad" and the house-museum of artist A.E. Tyulkin. In front of the building there is a monument to the founder himself - Mikhail Vasilyevich Nesterov.
