Bashkir State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre

Ufa is proud of its Bashkir State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre located at Lenina Street, 5/1. Founded in 1938, it is a XX century architectural monument with a facade decorated by figures of muses Euterpe and Terpsichore made of copper. The theater is known for performing world opera and ballet masterpieces ("Traviata", "Swan Lake", "Nutcracker"). It was here where Rudolf Nureyev began his career. The auditorium accommodates 716 people including parterre, mezzanine, gallery, balcony and box. In front of the building there is a fountain called "Seven Girls".
