Bashkir State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre

Ufa takes pride in Bashkir State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre located at Lenina Street, 5/1. Founded in 1938, it is a monument of history and architecture of the 20th century. The theater is known for performing world opera and ballet masterpieces ("Traviata", "Swan Lake"). Its facade features statues of muses Euterpe and Terpsichore, while in front of the building there is a fountain called "Seven Girls". The theater has also been awarded the Russian Government Prize named after Fyodor Volkov and is associated with the beginning of Rudolf Nureyev's career. The auditorium accommodates 716 people.
