Bashkir Academic Drama Theatre named after Majit Gafuri

Bashkir Academic Drama Theatre named after Majit Gafuri is located in Ufa at Zaki Validi Street, 34. Founded in 1919, the building is an architectural monument situated on the site of former Voskresenskiy cathedral. A statue of Majit Gafuri stands in front of the theatre. The repertoire includes works by Bashkir authors as well as classical plays. Since 2017, the director has been Irshat Fayzullin. The theatre was awarded the Order of Labor Red Banner.
