Altai Regional Art Museum

The State Art Museum of Altai Krai opened on February 6, 1959. Its main building is located at Lenina Ave., 88 but temporarily closed for reconstruction since 2012. The exhibition is currently housed at Maxim Gorky St., 16. The collection includes over a thousand works donated by local collectors, artists and residents. The museum regularly receives additions from the Tretyakov Gallery, Russian Museum, Hermitage and the State Historical Museum collections. About 50 exhibitions are held annually, along with master classes, theatrical tours and musical evenings.
