Altai State Museum of Local Lore

Altai State Regional Museum in Barnaul is situated at Polzunov St., 46 (closed for renovation since 2021) and Krasnoarmeyskiy Ave., 28. Its notable collections include a model of the steam-atmosphere engine designed by Ivan Polzunov (1725), rare minerals, maps, and books from archives of Kol'yvan'-Voskressenskiy mines. The museum's displays encompass regional flora and fauna, history, ethnography, and paleontology. It also features skins of distinctive animals such as the Siberian snow leopard.
