Sherkala Hill

Sherkala Mountain is located near Shetpe village, close to Aktau city. It attracts attention with its unusual shape resembling a yurt, fortress or even a lion depending on the viewing angle. This well-known natural formation is an important attraction of Mangystau region and a key point on tourist routes. The name "Sherkala" usually interpreted as "lion's fortress."
