Appak Bayzhanov Monument

Appak Bayzhanov Monument is installed in Karaganda and symbolizes the beginning of coal mining in the region. According to local legend, it was he who discovered combustible stones in the vicinity of the future city. The monument complements the "Miners' Glory" complex, emphasizing the importance of Bayzhanov's personality for the history of Karaganda Coal Basin.
