Kerey and Janibek Monument
Astana, President's Square, intersection of Abay Avenue and Zholtokzan Street
The Khans Kerey and Zhanibek Monument is situated in Astana's Presidential Square at the intersection of Abay Avenue and Jeltoksnan Street. Opened in 2010 by sculptor Rinat Abenov, the 12-meter-high composition commemorates the founders of Kazakh Khanate: Zhanibek is depicted standing with a spear while Kerey sits on a khan's saddle.
