Panfilov's 28 Heroes Park

Panfilov Cavalrymen Park in Almaty commemorates the heroic feat of soldiers from legendary Panfilov Division. Located near ancient buildings and Green Market, it is an important historical area of the city. The park includes Ascension Cathedral, Memorial to Glory and Yhsas Folk Musical Instruments Museum. The park's grounds were developed since mid-19th century and today unites architectural monuments, cultural facilities and green spaces.
