Statue of Ali and Nino

The Ali and Nino Statue created by Georgian artist Tamara Kvesitadze is situated on Batumi Boulevard in Batumi. Two metal figures standing 8 meters tall depict characters from the novel "Ali and Nino": Azerbaijani Ali and Georgian Nino. They come closer, merge with each other then part ways; the full cycle of movement takes place every ten minutes. The sculpture is named after the literary tale of love during the Caucasus region's time around World War I. Installed in 2010.
