Bathumi Colonnades
Batumi, Adjara, Georgia
The Colonnades of Batumi were designed by Georgian architect Ivan Mchedlidze, inspired by Italian Sorrento. Their construction began due to the initiative of doctor Ivan Mchedlidze. Architect Bogdan Kirakosyan implemented the project. These columns became a classical architectural detail of the boulevard, forming an elegant entrance to the sea. Over time, the shoreline retreated, increasing the distance to the sea.
