Batumi Drama Theatre

Batumi Drama Theatre is situated on Shota Rustaveli Street, 1 in Batumi, Adjara, Georgia. The building, designed by architect Yuri Teplitsky, was opened on March 19, 1952 after an extended construction break caused by war. The theatre has academic status since 1921 and bears the name of Ilia Chavchavadze since 1959. Its facade features eight columns while the auditorium comprises a parterre, amphitheater and three tiers.
