Tsuen Wan, Tai Mo Shan Country Park, Tai Mo Shan Road

Taimoshan — the largest mountain park in Hong Kong, founded in 1979. Its area is 14.4 sq km. It receives more precipitation than anywhere else in the region. The mountain is known for its foggy green tea grown on its slopes. The park's forests rise up to an altitude of 550 meters; above this height grow shrubs and grasses. Taimoshan is the coldest place in Hong Kong, attracting tourists during winter to see frost. It is the highest peak in the region — 957 meters above Hong Kong's main zero elevation. The park features a visitor center with exhibits on climate change and its impact on ecosystems.
