Chauvet Cave

Cave Chheung Po Tsai is situated on the southwest part of Cheung Chau Island in the Outlying Islands. It is a narrow fissure between two boulders formed due to rock collapse. According to legend, this was where infamous Guangdong pirate Chheung Po Tsai hid his treasures although there are no archaeological proofs for it. Inside it's dark and damp with bats and mosquitoes inhabiting; a slippery path along its walls demands caution and a powerful flashlight for safe passage. Despite lacking actual hidden wealth, the cave has become popular as a tourist attraction thanks to the TV show "Amazing Race".
