Old Market Wan Chai

Old Wan Chai Market situated on Queens Road East, 264 in Hong Kong, is a historical building of Class III. Built in 1937, it became the second generation market after the first built in 1858. After renovations from 2011 to 2013, behind the market a new residential tower was added, fitting harmoniously with the architectural style of the market. The facade, entrance and part of the structure are preserved, intended primarily for trade usage. Architecture features symmetry, smooth facades, rounded corners, creating a characteristic white-gray palette and thin window awnings.
