Spaso-Preobrazhenskaya Church of Polotsk

Spaso-Preobrazhenskaya Church in Polotsk - a unique architectural monument of the 12th century, situated on Yevfrosiniya Polotskaya Street. This fully preserved pre-Mongolian temple was built around 1161 by masters under the guidance of Ioann. Inside the church there are valuable frescoes and a famous reliquary cross created by Lazarem Bogosha in the same year. The temple is the main attraction of Spaso-Yevfrosinevsky Monastery.
