Wseslaw the Wizard Monument

The monument to Vseslav the Sorcerer was installed in Polotsk on Nizhne-Pokrovskaya Street. It was created by architect Dmitry Sokolov and unveiled in 2007. The first horse statue of the prince in Belarus honors Polotsk prince Vseslav Bricslavich who ruled from 1044 to 1101. The monument reflects early history of the Polotsk principality and the period of political rise of the region under Vseslav.
