Polotsk — Cradle of Belarusian Statehood Monument

Monument "Polotsk - Cradle of Belarusian Statehood" opened in 2017 near the Sophia Cathedral. It symbolizes the historical significance of the Polotsk Principality and its connection to literacy and spirituality of the region. The composition includes images of the Sophia Cathedral, Spaso-Efrosinine Monastery, Efrosini's cross, and figures of historical personalities: Rogvolod, Rogneda, Vseslav the Sorcerer, and Efrosinia of Polotsk. The sculpture was created by Vladimir Pipin.
