Francis Skaryna Monument

Francisk Skoryna Monument Is Located On His Name Square In Polotsk. The Sculpture Was Installed In 1974 And Created By Artists Aleksey, Igor Glebovy And Andrey Zaspitskiy. Skoryna, Born Around 1490 In Polotsk, Became A Famous First Printer, Physician, Philosopher And Enlightener Who Published Books Of The Old Testament In Church Slavonic Language. The Monument Is Listed As A State Historical-and-Cultural Value Of Belarus. Regular Events Are Held Here Honoring Belarusian Literacy.
