Euphrasia of Polotsk Monument

The monument to Saint Euphrosyne of Polotsk created by Igor Golubev is installed on Francisk Skaryna Square in Polotsk. It honors princess-abbesses from the 12th century who founded female and male monasteries and was a cultural figure of Polotsk land. Her remembrance day is celebrated annually on June 5. The bronze sculpture was unveiled in 2000.
