Memorial to Letter Uumlaut

The monument to the letter "U" is located on Francisk Skaryna Avenue in Polotsk. The sculpture depicts an open book cover and honors the 22nd letter of the Belarusian alphabet. It was installed in 2003 by artist Igor Kurzhalov. The monument was restored in 2016 after damage. The opening took place during the festival Belorussian Writing Day.
