Borisov's Stone in Polotsk

Borisov Stone is located in Polotsk near Sofiyskiy cathedral on Zamkovaya Street. It was raised from the Western Dvina River in 1981 with a diameter of about 3 meters. There is an inscribed four-sided cross with the inscription "Lord help thy servant Boris" and letters "IHS NIKA". Originally it was situated approximately five kilometers away from the city. The stone belongs to a group of medieval monuments associated with Prince Boris Vseslavich. Due to weathering of feldspar, the text is difficult to read.
