Theater Hall of Nesvizh Castle

Nesvizh, Palace Complex

Theater hall of Nesvizh Castle was created during its restoration period in the 1720s. It was part of the palace residence where library, art gallery and weapon collection were also housed. The hall became a symbol of transition for the castle from defense to cultural center. Plays by Franciska Ursula Radzivill were staged here, who founded the local theater and wrote 16 works for it. There are records of 14 stage design sketches for her performances. The hall is a monument of palace culture of the Radzivill family.
