Minsk Victory Park

Victory Park in Minsk surrounds Komsomolskoe Lake created to protect the city from floods. A sculptural complex "Minsk - Hero City" is installed at the main entrance. During the reconstruction of 2008-2011, a pedestrian bridge over to Bird Island was added. The lake serves as a place for water cruises and city festivals. To mark Belarus' 70th anniversary of liberation, the park was fully revamped. Nearby is a museum dedicated to World War II.
