National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus

The National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus is located on Karl Marx Street in the center of Minsk. It is the largest historical museum in the country, housing collections of ethnography, Belarusian folk art, documents and archaeological finds. Founded in 1908 as the Minsk Church-Archaeological Museum and since then has undergone several transformations, receiving its current name after Belarus gained independence. The museum also operates a branch - the House-Museum of the First RSDRP Congress.
