Belarusian Cinema History Museum

The Museum of the History of Belarusian Cinema in Minsk is dedicated to the development of cinematography in Belarus, telling about the first film screenings and the formation of national cinema. It was founded in 1966 at the initiative of Belarusian filmmakers, and its opening was timed to the 40th anniversary of the release of the first national film "Forest Story". Since September 2014, the museum has been a branch of the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus. The exposition features film equipment, posters, photographs, and documents, and retrospective film screenings, creative meetings, and lectures are held, including sections about Belarusian directors, actors, and artists.
