Minsk Town Hall

Minsk, Svobody Sq, 2a

Minsk Town Hall is situated on Freedom Square, 2A. This building is part of the historical Upper City layout and serves as a symbol of municipal governance starting from when Minsk received Magdeburg rights in 1499. The first town hall was wooden; the current one was reconstructed at the beginning of the XXI century after being reopened in 2004. Here previously city festivals and theatrical performances took place, along with operations of local authorities.
