Heroes' Mound

Memorial Hill of Glory is situated at the 21st kilometer of Minsk-Moscow highway. It was built on the site where a large German group was liquidated in summer 1944 during Operation Bagration. Architectural design includes four bayonets connected by a concrete ring with reliefs depicting Soviet soldiers and partisans. The top of the hill offers views over the surroundings of Minsk district. The central composition made from bronze symbolizes soldiers of World War II. The project's authors are architects G. Zaborsky and V. Korol'.
