Komarovsky Market

Komarovsky Market in Minsk is situated on Verah Horuzhay Street, 8. It was built in 1979 and originally stood near Yakub Kolas Square. Today it is the largest covered village market in Belarus. In front of the building there is a multi-tiered fountain opened in 2001. Architectural design was developed by a team led by Viacheslav Aladov and other renowned architects. On the market grounds there are sculptures "Horse and Sparrow", "Lady with Dog" and "Photographer". In May 1911 an exhibition flight of aviator Sergey Utochkin took place here.
