Great Theatre of Belarus

The Great Theatre of Belarus is situated on Paris Commune Square in Minsk. The building constructed between 1935-1938 by architect Yosef Langbard became one of the iconic pre-war city structures. In front of the theatre there are sculptural compositions and fountain ensemble. The theatre is famous for its operatic and ballet performances featuring Belarusian, Russian and international classics. After reconstruction completed in 2009 it acquired a modern appearance.
