Soviet Street Grodno

Sovetskaya Street in Grodno is one of the central streets of the historical city center. Its buildings primarily date back to the XIX—early XX centuries. The street is known for being called Domstrasse during World War I. It has preserved numerous structures associated with significant events such as the uprisings of 1830–1831 and 1863–1864. Previously it was an important trade route leading from the town market to Vilena Guesthouse. The current name was given during the Soviet period.
