New Lights District

Historical district Novy Svet is situated in Grodno, at the intersection of Mickiewicz, Ostrovsky and Reymont streets. Here there are preserved buildings from different eras and architectural styles, mostly dating back to the time when Poland governed the city. The area gained particular prominence due to an incident in 2006 when the house "Goryachiy Khleb" was destroyed. Local residents actively fought for its preservation, gathering signatures and initiating meetings of working groups aimed at its restoration. Today, New Light is a unique spot with varied architecture and rich history.
