Grodno Zoo

Grodno Zoo is situated at Timiryazeva Street, 11 in Grodno city. Established in 1927 by teacher Yan Kohnovsky. After moving to its current location in 1930, the collection was enriched with mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes and invertebrates. The zoo survived wartime destruction during World War II and occupies an area of approximately 5.35 hectares. Since 1939 it has been maintained by the state.
