Gomel Circus

Gomel State Circus is situated at Sovetskaya Street, 27. The building was constructed in 1972 according to architects A. Kudryavtsev, Yu. Motorin and M. Shulmeister's project. Inside there is an auditorium with a bowl-shaped amphitheater under a sloping spherical dome. The first performance took place on December 2 of the same year. In 2006, fountain reconstruction was carried out and a monument to famous clown Karandash was installed. This is one of two permanent circus buildings in Belarus.
