Lenin Avenue Gomel

Lenin Avenue in Gomel is one of the city's main transportation arteries. The street has changed its name multiple times: first it was Zamkovaya, then Komsomolskaya, Lunacharskogo, and finally Lenin Avenue in 1960. During World War II, most of the street was destroyed. Today, Lenin Avenue is adorned with the House of Commune - an outstanding example of Soviet architecture. The architectural appearance of the avenue formed after the war, primarily between 1949 and 1968.
