Lenin Avenue

Lenin Avenue in Gomel traces its history back to the late 19th century when it was known as Zamkovaya. Over the years it changed names: Komsomolskaya, Lunacharskogo, before receiving its current name in 1960. The street is notable for suffering significant destruction during World War II. Today, Lenin Avenue is adorned with Kommuna - an important monument of Soviet architecture, shaping its modern appearance after the war.
