Lenin Square Lenin Monument

On Lenin's Square in Gomel stands a monument to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin dedicated in 1958. A bronze figure of the leader, 6 meters tall, is placed on a granite pedestal 3 meters high. The total height of the monument is 9 meters. The installation of the monument was celebrated to mark the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Belarusian SSR.
