Taras Shevchenko Monument

The monument to Taras Shevchenko is situated in the central part of Gomel. It was unveiled on May 25, 2004 to commemorate the 190th anniversary of the Ukrainian poet and artist's birth. The monument is part of the city's infrastructure related to preserving Ukrainian cultural memory.
