Eternal Flame Memorial

Memorial "Eternal Flame" is situated on Labor Square in Gomel. It stands atop a mass grave and features a monument to a soldier with an automatic rifle and lowered flag, lit in 1950. Inscription on the monument honors Hero of the Soviet Union Yemelyan Barykin. Memorial commemorates the defenders and liberators of the city. Adjacent is the Museum of Printing and Photography History of Homel Region.
