Rumyantsev-Paskevich Palace

The Palace of Rumyantsevs and Paskeviches - an architectural monument of the 18th-19th centuries, located in the center of Gomel on Lenin Square. It became the compositional center of the palace-park ensemble of the city. In 1834, the estate passed to the Paskevich family after General Ivan Fyodorovich Paskevich purchased the property. The complex also includes St. Pyotr and Paul Cathedral and a chapel-mausoleum. The palace was built in the style of Russian classicism and has a rich history associated with the names of Rumyantsev and Paskevich.
