Pinsk Fortress

Pinsk Fortress — an archaeological site of ancient Pinsk connected with early stages of city formation. It is situated near the historical center and Lenina Square, on the site of an ancient settlement belonging to Turau-Pinsk land. The settlement developed due to its advantageous location along river routes which facilitated trade. The first mentions of Pinsk date back to 1097 AD.
