Monument to Internationalist Soldiers

The monument to internationalist soldiers in the park of the Pinsk Dnieper Flotilla was opened on July 14, 2005. The monument made of stone blocks symbolizing the Afghan mountains is dedicated to fifteen residents of Pinsk who did not return from the war. Next to the memorial sign, an airborne combat vehicle BMD-1, brought from the Minsk region, is installed. The memorial is located near the Eternal Flame and the mass grave of soldiers who died during the liberation of the city in 1944.
