Memorial Liberators of Pinsk

Memorial to the Liberators of Pinsk is situated on the banks of the Pina River. It commemorates the liberation of the city from fascists in July 1944 and was opened in 1968. The central element of the complex is armored boat BK-92, installed at the site where the desantnikov of the Dniepr River Fleet disembarked. The memorial includes an alley leading to monuments and a mass grave of liberating soldiers. Construction began in 1950 and became a monument to World War II.
